Another Dimension

A work from a series that examines the sonification of images and the visualization of sound, using the possibilities of 3D environments.

Technically, the process is based on transforming a 2D image into points in 3D space, assigning each point a specific note. The algorithm selects a point, analyzes its color values, and, using different sounds, converts it into music. The sound values are then visualized and used as the material for that point, forming a new sound-image. The process is repeated with the next points, and the resulting sound-image abstractly depicts the invisible, allowing the viewer to explore the world in a virtual sound dimension.
